Dear BFF

Stella is a dreamer with her head in the clouds. Mai is a Japanese girl, new to her French school. Both are trying to find their place, and need each other to cope with the ups and downs of college life.  A “slice of life” yonkoma manga about the evolution of friendship and the daily struggles of school life.

Mai

Age: 11. French.

She's got one worry for this year: to make a real best friend!

After watching TV one night she becomes obsessed with Mulder from the X-files. Mai also grows to love the series and they decide to write comics together.

Age: 11. French-Japanese.

Mai is not bothered about making friends but after Stella encourages her to watch the X-files, she becomes a fan of the series and decides to spend her free time drawing comics with her.

Mr NICE

Age: 42. French. Form tutor and History teacher.

Miss Bert is obsessed with toys and games of all sorts, she's a got her head in the clouds a bit, even though she tries her best to look like what she thinks is a "cool teacher".

Age: 35. French.

His main hobby is shouting after students. He maintains order in the corridors or in the other areas of the school. He also looks after evening study time and secretly wants to go as far as possible from any high school.

Aurora

Age: 32. French. Art teacher.

Strongly believes that art should be teaching while making students suffer the worst of pain and anguish. Be sure to belittle anyone who crosses his path. Do NOT think you can understand him.

Age: 12. French.

Cool headed and helpful. She enjoys spending time with Stella and Mai, as long as she feels wanted. She's a free spirit.

Kenny

Age: 11. French. 

Shy boy who likes to help when he can. He enjoys spending time with his friends and might have a crush on someone...

Age: 12. French.

Obnoxious and loud, he means well but he's not afraid to say what he thinks or what he thinks others might think. He's a good guy but he needs to learn about personal space.
